The pthalates necessary for flexible tubing are one object of the PVC controversy, and special labeling of DEHP PVC is already being required by regulations in Europe. To be affordable by those who need it. PVC-free tubing would require Medicare-compatible rates. Many people are already going without... without the oxygen needed.
