have individual states, counties, and towns gradually implement the Metric system over the course of 6-10 years.

Created by T.K. on November 13, 2012

The United States of America is one of 3 Countries left in the entire world that uses the U.S. Standard Measurement system.

The Metic system is Vastly more practical, easier to use, and much more widely used.

I suggest we try to keep up with the world, and slowly implement the metric system into our country.

for example, replace road signs that have only (mph) with road signs that have both (mph) AND (kph).

Having both measurements on signs will slowly and subconsciously train people in the metric system who do yet know it, and it is taught in the public school system which ensures its success after the course of 20 years.

Have every state, county, city... use their own budget, but have the federal government set a 6-10 year deadline.
