Joseph Kony, a guerrilla leader in Uganda, uses his power as leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) to violate the basic human rights of tens of thousands of children. Those he doesn't kill are captured and trained to fight in his army, for no purpose other than to maintain his own personal power. They are forced to kill their own family, and take up arms against opposing villages.
As a matter of principle and morality, it is the duty of the United States government to appropriate funds and forces to remove Joseph Kony from power.
