Have mandated mental health classes in schools among young teens

Created by G.N. on March 17, 2015

Often times teens in Middle or High School may be taught about depression or eating disorders for a brief time in Health class, but most aren't given enough knowledge to really understand and connect themselves to what they are being taught. Students must understand Mental Illness and be able to evaluate and help themselves if need be. In most schools, mental disorders are seen as taboo and looked down upon among peers. If all students are educated, and able to understand themselves better, there will be less risk of mental illness in individuals throughout the country.
