Have a meaningful conversation about the state of the mental healthcare system in this country.

Created by M.B. on December 16, 2012

In light of this horrible tragedy in Connecticut, our media wants to simply have a conversation on strict gun control laws. A gun is a tool to do a job. A gun has never killed anyone, it has always been the person behind it that killed someone. Making guns illegal won't solve things anymore than making meth or crack illegal.
We need to have a meaningful conversation about mental healthcare in this country. It should not take criminal charges to create a paper trail so someone can get help in America. We need more understanding and better ways to deal with this problem. We believe this is the reason behind these mass murders, not guns. All of these recent mass murders were committed by people with some sort of mental issue. This is unacceptable in this country and it needs to be fixed NOW!
