Our fore fathers wanted the Senate and Congress to be held by the people of the United States. The job should be like Jury duty. You do your duty as a civil servant then you get out. What we are stuck with now are career politicians. Let the common man run this country for a while.
Let's do away with career politicians who get all kinds of perks. Let them have the same health care/retirement as us. Let us Vote their raises not them. They stopped being servants of the people.
