We the People, who have been forced to work for minimum wage that hasn't been updated with inflation, demand that those who we have voted into office be paid the minimum wage we earn. They have shown they can't be trusted when making hundreds of thousands a year, and as public servants to the people of this country, should know what it's like to live off minimum wage.
Their benefits should end at the end of their terms, as do the benefits for most of this country. If a person is no longer representing the people in Congress, they shall not receive the pay for it. They should pay into a retirement plan like the rest of us.
Thirdly, the Congress have shown to be ineffective with too many having overspent their time in office. Enact term limits for all members of Congress.
