We all know that we cannot take away a persons right to bare arms as long as they are legally allowed to obtain firearms. I have seen petitions encouraging guns for teachers in the classroom, but this is a risky act. Having metal detectors on every entrance and exit in every public school in the nation from elementary on up, can help prevent more tragedies. Government buildings have metal detectors on them, but we lack them for our most vulnerable of citizens, our children. I think it is time we remember to protect those that need the most protecting.
