Given the technological legacy of NASA's manned space program, the countless innovations and advances our Space Explorations have provided, the Nations need for High Technology employment, and our continued need for manned space activities, it is herewith recommended that the White House engage NASA and the US Aerospace Industry in an active effort to develop and field a reuseable follow on to the Space Shuttle program. The program would employ many thousands of our best engineers, scientists, technicicans and manufacturing people. Our manned spaceflight efforts must be continued, we were the leaders in space, we should remain so. The system should employ a ground based EM accelleration sled, a reusable orbiter with innovative new thermal heat shield technology and carry commercial loads.
