All childhood cancers combined receive less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute’s funding. One reason is childhood cancer drugs are not as profitable as adult ones. Kids deserve the best treatment possible to grow up and live a normal life. Who knows- maybe a survivor will one day discover a cure. The average adult cancer patient loses 15 years of life, while the average child loses 71! Imagine what a surviving child could accomplish with those 71 years! Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer annually. Children deserve to enjoy their childhood, free from the pain of cancer and worries about their health! We must stand up to our bullies, and childhood cancer may be the worst of all. With more funding, we could find a cure faster and put an end to childhood cancer!
