We the people request a nationwide vote of all eligible voters whether or not to legalize marijuana. We live in a democracy and by definition that means "A government by the people" (Merriam-Webster.com). Therefore, we are entitled the right to vote on the issue. In the latest gallup poll 50% of Americans are in favor of legalization. The people want to be heard, and it is time we were.
