North Carolina State University has not contributed to the success of the Atlantic Coast Conference in a revenue sport in almost 25 years. They have not won a conference championship in any major sport in a long time and do not appear capable of such a feat in the foreseeable future. Because of this, their student body/fans have to make up false claims against their more successful rivals (Duke and North Carolina) in order to seemingly bring them down to the Wolfpack's level. Most recently, they falsely accused Duke's student section of taunting a Wolfpack player about his deceased grandmother. The video below was used as 'proof' but you can clearly hear a different chant from the Duke students.
