Have paternity leave for full-time workers and part-time workers between three months to one year.

This petition will not only help families but co-workers as well. Birthing or adopting a child is not something that 12 weeks of unpaid time can cover. America is one of the last countries to prohibit paternity leave, while there are strides at promoting paternity leave, we need your help. For full time parents, the mother is allocated six months of 80% paid time off, and same for the full time father. For part time employees they will be allocated 3 months each. Full time employees have 2 years to use their leave and part time employees have 1 year. This will benefit the parent's co-workers because they will be able to contribute more to the work environment and promote a more healthy work area.
