Body Cameras are already in place in Rialto, California with the Rialto PD. With only half of their 54 uniformed patrol officers wearing cameras at any given time, the department still had an 88% decline in the number of complaints filed against officers. Body cameras are a necessity to ensure the safety of both Civilians as well as our police officers who would be wearing them. Body cameras would aid the prevention of intentional or unintentional force as well as it would document interactions with Police for use in trials.
There is no downside to Body Cameras, there is only upside for holding people accountable.
