have the President commence a nationwide voter registration movement over the next 6 months to combat voter suppression.

President Obama is uniquely positioned to lead a movement to revitalize our democracy in the last year of his presidency. This would be an important part of his legacy if he could do this to improve the civic health of our country. Our democracy is at risk as fewer citizens participate in elections. He could seek to increase voter registration and participation in this election year and in off years by using the bully pulpit to tell citizens why there involvement in democracy is so very important.
