Our country is deeply divided on many important social and economic issues. One issue we are not divided on, however, is how awesome Bill Pullman's speech near the end of the 1996 blockbuster "Independence Day"(also known as ID4) is.
We strongly urge the Obama administration to please have President Obama recite the speech in some sort of address to the public, whether it be by youtube or even the state of the union, for which he would forever be immortalized. It would not only bring some much needed optimism to politics, but it would jump start the sales of ID4 Blu-rays and merchandise, creating hundreds of new jobs. We hope that President Obama hears our words, and recites said speech while putting on a jet fighter's helmet and saying "I'm a pilot, I belong in the air."
