President Barack Obama’s 2nd term has created a new sense of faith & hope in the African-American communities in the United States. However, in reality, the lives of millions of African-Americans in the “deep south” have not changed much. Many of us continue to live in poverty, work in low-paying jobs, & the vast majority of us remain unemployed depending on entitlement programs.
We ask President Obama to visit us in person to help energize our community so that more of us can be inspired to reach for higher have our own businesses, become professionals, earn our way out of poverty, & make an American dream come true for us.
Many here feel that our votes do not count because we are caught in the middle of electoral college politics. We want to see and hear from our President in person!
