Cancer in children is one of the saddest events to see. Over 10,000 children under the age of 15 are diagnosed per year and over 1,000 die per year. This disease takes its toll both physically, mentally, and emotionally on the children that develop it. For this reason a significant amount of medical research and public support has gone into developing treatments and improving the livelihood of these young children.
The nation can show its support for these children by having their leader shave their head this September in honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. By doing this it would serve as a reminder for those suffering children and also show that one of the most powerful men in the world supports them as well.
