Chicago has notoriously strict gun control laws. Their citizens can not purchase a gun in the city limits of Chicago. This has been in effect for years, yet this year, the city has recorded over 500 violent gun crimes.
In Chicago, you can not own or carry your gun outside your home. Not even to the front porch. These draconian measures have done nothing to stop or slow down crime in the city. In fact it has increased to the point that Chicago is now the most violent crime city in America. Let's urge the President to find out why this is happening and then tell us the justification to do the same thing to the country as a whole. The very strict gun control in Chicago has resulted in dramatically increased gun crime. Tell us why this would be good for the U.S. as a whole.
