The government have had their own people audit Fort Knox in the past. Fort Knox has not had a public audit in years. Politicians like Ron Paul have also called for an independent public audit. As American's, we have the right to know what our countries "true" assets are. Our country is believed to be open and yet we do not know much about our countries finances.
