There are very good reasons why Puerto Rico should become the 51st State.
1.)The most recent poll says that 61% of Puerto ricans want official statehood.
2.) Puerto Rico's currency is the U.S. Dollar.
3.) Puerto Rico had demanded statehood since 1917 when it first became a U.S. territory.
4.) Puerto Rican citizens would be granted full citizens' rights under U.S. Law (health care, economic status, etc.).
5.) Puerto Rico's head of state is the Executive Branch of the United States.
6.) It would be the first Latino State to enter into the Union.
7.) More seats would be added to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
8.) The United States would become more diverse in immigration and job creation.
