There are many physicians and researchers who are deeply concerned about the safety of humanity in the face of ever evolving bacterial strains (strains gaining resistances to the medications we have to defend ourselves). Our development of evolved antibiotic drugs lacks an incentive structure to push for new and diverse defenses against these deadly bacteria.
Please at least have the discussion as to the best ways we can help the scientific community continue the development of such life savings drugs as penicillin which are losing their effectiveness and will soon be useless in saving millions of lives from simple infections.
