In school children and young adults are taught various fundamental courses such as Math, History and Science. All of these subjects have vital roles in our every day lives. As such, there should be a Religion class as well. Religion has played a powerful part in humanity's history, influencing everything from science to politics.
Ignorance is plaguing our society when it comes to Religious intolerance. As such, there should be a class that teaches children and young adults all about the world's major faiths: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hidduism, Buddhism, etc.
This class should teach students those faith's beliefs and how they impact our world from wars to past history. Students would not say prayers or perform rituals, but would learn what the faiths are all about.
