Schools should be closed on Eid, a Muslim holiday. Muslim children all across America are either unable to celebrate their religious holiday, or they are forced to miss school, compromising on their education.
If schools are closed on Christmas, a Christian holiday, then why are schools not closed on Eid? This is not properly displaying equality, one of the main things the United States of America stands for.
Islam, being the second largest religion in the world, should be recognized in the United States, just as Christianity is. There are many Muslim Americans in the United States who are unable to celebrate their religious holiday. Please help us and sign this petition to gain equality for Muslims. Thank you.
