Sebastien De La Cruz (11 years old) sang a fantastic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the nationally televised Game 3 of the 2013 NBA Finals in San Antonio. Because he is a Mexican American and wore clothing that signified that, there was a fierce backlash of racism, ignorance and bigotry on social media. I think that it would be fitting as a nation to show our support for Sebastien and our opposition to racism and bigotry by having him sing the National Anthem at the next White House function.
