have some sort of animal rights passed in this country to prevent cruel slaughter of our meat.

We all should take a step back and watch documentaries like "meet your meat" and "from farm to fridge" and wonder, is this really legal? The way you brutally murder these animals? The way we suck the life out of them. Animals are raised and treated like things. the little ones un-needed get destroyed like they are a piece of trash. The life is littlery sucked out of them. A lot go crazy. They are all depressed and in pain and often sick their entire lives.
I don't know what the right answer is to this. but I know if we all have to start spending more money to buy meat, and eating less of it, OH WELL. We have to give these animals a bit of happiness in their lives. We can't be so selfish and cruel. The goverment needs to do SOMETHING about this. NOW.
