'Hafez" the translator who fought alongside Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer in September of 2009 has been waiting three years for the State Department to allow him a special visa to live in the U.S. With the U.S. draw down this heroic translator is now jobless and under constant threat from the Taliban.
In September of 2009 in the middle of a deadly Taliban ambush that claimed the lives of 4 American troops Sgt. Meyer asked "Hafez," who had already been shot, to go back into the fire fight to help recover American troops. "Hafez" risked his life assisting Sgt. Meyer and the troops were recovered. "Hafez" and his family are under threat and need our protection. Please have the State Department grant "Hafez" his visa. Protect this man who risked his life for our troops.
