Have Stronger Gun Laws No More Assault Weapons and Stricter Guidelines for Gun Purchasing

There is the second amendment that says Americans have a right to bear arms. There is another part of this amendment that says it must be regulated. There is no conceivable reason for one to own a assault weapon, no reason for high capacity weapons. A police officer must pass a psychological evaluation before they are allowed to carry a weapon, meanwhile all you need as a citizen to purchase is a drivers license and no criminal record. There is something very wrong with this. It is my American right to have the freedom of Pursuit of Happiness. We are currently living in a nation where it is no longer safe to go outside. Things must change! The second amendment will still be intact if we limit weapons to handguns, shotguns, and hunting rifles, and get rid of high capacity clips.
