Ted Cruz was born in Canada, not in the United States. His only defense is that his mother, a natural born citizen, was American making him a natural born citizen. According to Article 2, Section 1, clause 5 says that only natural born citizens may run for the presidency, that does not include Ted Cruz. The supreme court must interpret this section of the Constitution to determine if he is eligible to run for president.
