Have a tax on all firearm and ammunition sales to fund the NRA School Security program and help victims of gun violence.

Created by S.K. on December 26, 2012

Have a tax on all firearm/ammunition sales in order to fund the NRA School Security program and have an armed police or security officer in every school in America. If we must have officers in every school, then tax the very item that causes it. A small tax on gun sales would offset the monies which would have to be diverted from educating our children in order to place such officers in the schools. The School resource officer should be trained in education and be in charge of educating the children in school on public safety programs, such as firearms safety, Child Abduction Safety, First aid and the like. Such a resource officer could also be in conjunction with JROTC programs in schools as well to provide security.

Any leftover monies would help victims of gun violence deal with it
