Have a television license fee for digital television.

Created by I.F. on August 28, 2013

Many countries around the world charge an annual television fee to its citizens. This fee helps out the terrestrial broadcaster to produce and have non-stop programing. Its also makes advertising illegal on television. For example, the British government receives the fee from its citizens, then spreads them out to the broadcasters (in this case: BBC and ITV). PBS is one example. Programing on PBS is for the most part, commercial free, but PBS is not one of the top broadcasters.
I created this petition to allow other networks that are most viewed such as NBC, ABC and Fox to receive if not all, half of what citizens are paying. If this becomes more successful, then to allow cable and satellite networks to provide commercial free program.
