I would like to see tougher punishment for people who abuse (or neglect) animals. Whether it's a pet or livestock on a farm. Animals feel pain (just like humans), yet we continue to "slap people on the wrist" for the abuse that is done everyday. People need to understand that pets (and livestock), need to be cared for and taken care of. I feel that punishment of Animal Abuse should be ample jail time if convicted, this "may" change peoples minds on issues of dog-fighting, cock-fighting, using animals for just breeding, or just abuse of any kind. Animals don't understand why they are abused, but people understand why they abuse them. Please look at this carefully & thank you for your time.
