Have the United States of America join the Commonwealth of Nations.

The USA may be a nation made of many people of different nationalities but it was once part of the British Empire. Most of the countries in the old British Empire. Commonwealth countries are regarded in equal status and share strong trade links with one another. The USA should join not only because it is a former British Colony but also because it is a diverse nation like many of the current nations in the Commonwealth like Canada, India, Nigeria and Australia. This would also allow the USA to be part of the largest English speaking group of countries in the world.
