Only Burma, Liberia and the United States do not use the Metric Standard. Virtually everything we manufacture now is metric, and it's time we adapt to this reality. There is no sense in using SI measurements for a Metric world, it only keeps us at a disadvantage.
I'm sure there are plenty, if not all, of Engineers and Scientists, or anyone who has had to calculate "slugs" of mass, who feel exactly as I do concerning the rest of this issue. It makes learning Science easier. Our students need this. It's just that simple.
I keep hearing things about how America wants to regain it's status as a Manufacturing and innovative powerhouse by making the right choices. I promise you with every fiber of my being, here's the first one.
