The Senate Majority has made it clear that they will not perform their constitutional duty to advise and consent to the President's nominee. The constitution declares that the vice president shall preside over the Senate, thus ensuring that the Senate can never refuse to provide advice and consent.
Vice President Biden should assume control of the Senate, and make the Supreme Court hearings its first order of business. Nobody outside of Kentucky ever voted for Mitch McConnell, yet we've somehow given him the power, not only to block any and all would-be legislation, but to stop the duties ascribed by the constitution to both the executive and legislative branches of government. This is not what the founding fathers envisioned, and they have provided us with the remedy. Thank You.
