On the January 7, 2013 episode of the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, television host Bill Maher offered real estate mogul Donald Trump, $5M to charity if he proved he was not an orangutan. On January 9, 2013, Mr. Trump released his birth certificate proving he was of the Homo sapiens species of primates. Mr. Trump has requested that this $5M be spread evenly among five outstanding organizations.
Regardless of what one feels about Bill Maher, he is an honorable man and will surely honor his offer and he deserves an official commendation from the White House for this selfless act of charity.
