The US is currently the only developed nation without a national health care system that provides access to health care for all citizens. Our health care costs are more than twice that of any other nation while providing poor health outcomes, currently ranking #31 in the world. Other nations have proved without exception that a national system of health care produces better health outcomes at a lower cost. Insurance and pharmaceutical companies spend millions each year to spread disinformation in order to maintain high profitability at the expense of millions of Americans who are forced to pay out of pocket for medical care. Currently offerings under the Affordable Care Act include illegal exclusions for preexisting conditions, sky high deductibles and extremely limited coverage
