Health Care Fix that Works for Everyone

Created by P.F. on December 08, 2013

The federal government should provide "catastrophic insurance" to everyone in the country. This insurance kicks in at a pre-determined "deductible" target of $5,000-$6,000. The federal insurance should include one comprehensive physical annually. Anyone who is concerned about covering the cost of the deductible can purchase private insurance, which will be substantially less than the typical full-coverage policy would cost. Many people would not have to pay for extra insurance because they do not have current health issues. We know from private insurance pricing that "catastrophic" coverage costs much less, therefore this plan will save taxpayers considerable amounts of money, and the current system will become much less complex.
