Health Care reform is not adequate for all citizens to obtain coverage

Created by H.G. on February 10, 2015

Mr President, We ask that you change the current healthcare reform to help the people that truly need it. The current healthcare reform is not adequate, it does not assure that ALL US citizens can obtain healthcare. Currently a person is required to contribute to premiums, thus does not allow unemployed, or those that do not qualify for either disability or Medicaid to obtain healthcare, It seems they were overlooked. There are numerous disabling diseases that are not accepted by US disability laws. Many people live in abject poverty, without dependent children, or with other relatives that also cannot afford to provide them with coverage. Adequate healthcare could possibly improve the health of these people so they might again work and become productive taxpaying citizens.
