heed the UN and treat the large number of unaccompanied minors fleeing Latin America as refugees rather than criminals.

Created by K.P. on July 16, 2014

In the coming year, an estimated 90,000 children will immigrate to the United States without a guardian. According to a recent report by the United Nations, up to two thirds of these children qualify for refugee status by virtue of the violent situations they leave behind in Latin America. However, the Obama Administration has refused to treat this issue as a refugee crisis and instead recently announced that it would seek $2 billion dollars from Congress to strengthen the boarder and speed up the immigration courts that are sending these children back to drug wars in their native countries. If the United States will not honor the ruling of the United Nations and protect the refugees within our boarder, than we cannot, in good conscience, ask any other country to do the same.
