Many 100% Disabled Veterans (and those with smaller VA percentage ratings) are not being paid retired pay and VA compensation. We call upon you to enact and support separate legislation that will repeal, in its entirety, the VA offset on retirees' military entitlement (concurrent receipt) and to announce your support of Concurrent Receipt for disabled retirees including all chapter 61 veterans with less than twenty years service. VA rated disabled military retirees are paid both their military retirement pay and their VA disability compensation unless they were medically retired (chapter 61) with less than 20 years of active duty or the reserve equivalent under the law. This specific type of veteran with 19.5 years active duty, who was rated 100% by the VA recieves no retired pay for life
