Why do corporations control government? Because major political campaigns are impossible without major funding.
All congressional and executive level elections should have generous public finding. Outside contributions, from any source, should not be allowed. Corporate influence via lobbyists, PACs, etc. and their funding dies a natural death.
To be re-elected politicians will have to
a) have ethical voting records that embrace 99% needs
b) effectively manage equivalently funded campaigns. The best managed campaign will prevail, not the best funded.
Don't blame corporations for doing what they are by law allowed to do. Change your politicians ability to ethically manage corporate regulatory reform, protect the middle class and still be re-elected.
