Help an adopted orphan live with her US Parents

Created by J.J. on July 06, 2012

In April of 2011 we adopted an orphan in Malaysia. We could not have children of our own and fell instantly in love with this three hour baby girl. The unwed mother had been abandoned by the biological father before the baby was born; she herself would face a lifetime of shame if she kept the baby.

Malaysia requires a two year fostering period. The adoption can be finalized in April of 2013. Immigration officials have told us numerous times the baby can live with us; they only want us to return with her to finalize the adoption.

The US Embassy will not help, we have been rejected for a non-immigrant visa and the immigrant visa is on hold. We only want our daughter here until we finalize next year.
