Congress created the fiscal cliff which now threatens to push the United States back into a recession. It exists because Congress was and continues to be unwilling and/ or unable to provide any real solutions to our budget issues as a nation. They are grossly ineffective and ineffective employees deserve a ten percent cut in pay. Congress is not making things better for Americans, they are making them worse with their partisanship and inability to take effective action.
This cut in pay should not be merely reversed a year or two down the road. Future increases in pay should be comparable to previous increases in size and frequency going forward.The approval rating for congress among americans is notable. I start this petition on behalf of all Americans.
