conception is the point at which a child's life begins, the point at which the transport and meeting of male&female gametes to form a zygote cannot be technically reversed.

take the 'earliest point' at which a child is known to be alive,his or her birth. go back one day, was that child alive?? of course! and that point can be traced back to conception, when a 'fully'genetically-equipped zygote Lord Willing ends up in a proper place for development (prayers for correction/help w/ectopic pregnancies)
