I urge the Obama administration to bring real, powerful change on the United States’ foreign policy and interests in Asia.
We must acknowledge the fact that the Republic of China (presently Taiwan or “Free China”) was one of the founding members of the UN. Although China's Nationalist Party (KMT) unfortunately failed on building a prospectively free, democratic China by losing its control over the Chinese Mainland in a civil war against Mao Zedong, the island of Taiwan/Formosa is now a vibrant and prosperous democracy of more than 23 million people. These 23 million souls must not be left out of recognition in the international community.
Please support a “two Chinas” policy or Taiwan’s return to the United Nations, like there are two Koreas today and there were two Germanys.
