Governor Sam Brownback is putting politics before the welfare of children in the Kansas foster system. There are more children in the system than ever before. Now the governor is slashing funding and putting a man in charge that believes that only "Good Christians" should become foster families. This would discourage people of other faiths, or same-sex families from helping these children.
Studies show that non-traditional families help children grow into productive members of society, and that should not be discouraged. Remember the children, think of them, protect them.
