As of July 1, 2013, Stafford Loan interest rates are set to double from 3.4% to 6.8% unless Congress acts. This needs to become a major issue to Congress immediately. Over 7 million people rely on these Stafford Loans to make college accessible. It would make the government even more out of touch with the people if they did not act to resolve this issue.
