I petition that ammunition should be regulated at least as strictly as cold medicine.
Currently if I want to buy Sudafed or other types of cold medicine I have to go to a store where a licensed professional works, produce ID, sign my name and a record of how much and what kind I purchased is recorded.
If I order wine through the mail I have to be at least 21 produce ID and sign for it.
However, I can go to a big box store and purchase ammunition 24/7 from a 16 year old.
Ammunition should be purchased from a licensed professional at a gun store, not between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., people should have to produce ID, sign for it and a record should be kept. This would eliminate objections of control from those who merely collect guns as they have no need for ammunition.
