Help with criminal record.

In my case in 1992 i was starting a career of truck driving and i had a bad reck in 1992 in chesterfield co. va. and i was charged with involintary manslaughter i didnt have the money to fight it so i pled guilty and i went to prison and got out and was on parole and probation for 10 years then i work a few places and then went back to driving and then i got some tickets and lost my license and so in 2011 i went back to school and got my GED and started putting in applications every where and they all are telling me the same thing that they cant hire me cause i have a felony now ive paid for my crime but i fill like im still paying for it and i guess i allways and i know it aint the same but if you get a ticket it come off your record in 7 years so why cant your criminal record do the same
